Latest casualty figures released today show that 1,784 people died on Britain's roads in 2018 - nine fewer than the previous year.

The Department for Transport today released its Reported road casualties in Great Britain, annual report: 2018, which also showed that casualties overall reduced by 6%.

The data shows that the figures have remained largely unchanged for the last seven years.

The report provides the number of personal injury road traffic collisions in Britain that were reported by the police in 2018 using the STATS19 reporting system.
