Still time to enter your road
safety initiative for top award
There is just one month left to submit your entries for this year’s Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards.
The Awards give public recognition to those who have improved road safety throughout Britain and across the world.
Nominations are open to any team, organisation, government department, private sector organisation or business and must be submitted by July 31, 2016.
Each year the most outstanding international road safety initiatives are recognised through the scheme and the winners are invited to a Gala Presentation held in London in December, where the Prince announces his Premier Award for that year.
As it is often challenging to evaluate interventions simply by measuring a change in road casualty numbers the judging criteria have been revised this year.
Pictured above with the Prince are Sgt Rob Heard (centre) and Simon Gomer (right) from Hampshire Constabulary, who won an award last year for their Older Drivers' Forum.
