Online media workshops bring together
road safety practitioners from
across UK

Over recent weeks, 40 road safety practitioners representing around 20 UK local authorities and police forces have attended our online media skills workshops.

Attendees from forces in Durham, Cleveland, Kent, Greater Manchester, Hampshire and South Yorkshire have attended the half-day events, delivered on Microsoft Teams.

Delegates from local authorities in Hertfordshire, Luton, Cambridgeshire, Newport, Port Talbot, Carmarthenshire and Transport for London (TfL) were also in attendance.

Other attendees included individuals from Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue, the Road Victims Trust and the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS).

The workshops, which were delivered by Jan Sjorup and Rebecca Morris from Road Safety Support, gave advice on how to promote messages effectively through the traditional news media and via social media platforms.

The interactive events focused on the important role of enforcement and communications in reducing road deaths, exploring marketing tactics and opportunities for joint working.

Attendees included experienced communications managers and those who are new to marketing.

Our online Media Skills Workshops are available to road safety practitioners worldwide. If you would like to attend a future event or for more information please contact us.
