New video urges cyclists and
motorists to 'Share the Road'
A video has been released urging road users to 'Share the Road' in a bid to reduce the number of collisions involving cyclists.
The video was produced by Lincoln-based cyclist and film maker Phil Crow, with the support of organisations including Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership, Lincolnshire Police, and East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Presented by television personality Jason Bradbury, the film provides advice on viewing the road through different perspectives and gives practical tips on how to keep cyclists safe on the roads.
"I wanted to present a balanced argument to try and show motorists and cyclists that, with a bit of care and thought, we can all use the UK's roads carefully and safely," said Phil.
"I just want as many people as possible to take a few minutes, watch the film and share it with their friends on social media - and if this saves just one life, then I've done my job."
He added: "My hope is that this film can go some way to raising awareness of how motorists and cyclists can share the road and hopefully reduce some of those incidents."
Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership is urging fellow practitioners to share the film widely on social media using #sharetheroad
