Driving ban for motorcyclist caught
speeding eight times in two months
A motorcyclist has been banned from driving after being caught speeding eight times in two months.
The motorbike registered to Ashley Foster, 50, from Leigh-on-Sea, was caught above the 40mph speed limit on the A127 in the town eight times between May 30, 2017 and July 25, 2017.
After being visited by officers he admitted all the offences and at Southend Magistrates’ Court on on January 18, 2018 he was banned from driving for six months, fined a total of £1,097 and ordered to pay £450 costs and a £31 victim surcharge.
Roy Keyes, Investgating Officer from the Essex Casualty Reduction Unit, said: “Ashley Foster flagrantly violated the rules of the road not once, but eight times. This is absolutely unacceptable.
"Speed limits are there for a reason. If you don’t stick to them you risk your safety and that of other road users.”
